Liselle and I have decided to take on this big challenge together and love the idea that in doing so we will be raising funds for such a worthy cause. We will do it in acknowledgement of the enormous challenges disadvantaged young people have to overcome in their lives. Our conquering this challenge will celebrate the adversities already overcome by these youngsters; promote the courage to tackle any future hurdles and encourage living fully in each moment. It will represent the gratitude we feel for the opportunity to be involved. We will also carry in our hearts on this journey, our dear Mum/Granny, recently passed, who instilled in us a love of hiking, mountains and the determination to stick to a challenge. We made it!! An intense and unforgettable few days. A huge thank you again to all our supporters for your donations which made it so worthwhile. Thank you to all the organisers, guides and fellow participants. A tough and amazing experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wow, big weekend for us. Flinders Peak on Saturday - didn't realise there would be so many rocks to scramble! But amazing views. The circuit of Lake McKenzie on Sunday in pouring rain the whole time. As we were testing our gear this weekend, this was not a bad thing! Lovely, serene walk but hillier than we expected. We feel well prepped for the main event but haven't quite reached our fundraising goal. Thank you to our tremendous supporters thus far.

A big weekend of training! Opted for the 16km Noosa Coastal Track and 11km of suburban hills instead of the leech-prone and muddy hinterland hikes! :)

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has already supported our fundraising. We are so grateful. Just 3 more weeks to go to reach our funding target and get ourselves in "peak" mountain climbing condition 😀. We recently scaled 3 of the Sunny Coast Peaks in one day. That was fun. More training hikes coming up 🥾.
