Going for the Trifecta!

Three years running and can't wait to hike Mt Bogong (VIC), Mt Kosciuszko (NSW – highest mountain in Australia) and Mt Ainslie (ACT) in just 33 hours over 2 days.

While participants train over 3 months in some of the beautiful regions surrounding Melbourne and Sydney, and face a huge physical and mental challenge for the event; the most important goal is to raise vital funds to assist young people at risk, to build better lives for themselves and find the courage to choose a better future.

Thanks for your support!

Kind Regards,
Jason

Wow the last hike before the event! Warrandyte circuit winds around the Yarra, which was full and flowing after so much rain during the week. Really great hike with just a small group. Feeling good and the weather forecast is looking promising. Cross fingers!

Feb 29 2020 Mt St Leonards, Healesville 18 kms 1000mtrs elevation gain.

Beautiful conditions for our last big test. This hike is a pretty serious track with steep rocky sections leading to a magnificent view at the summit. Ready to roll, the countdown is ticking!! 👍

Jan 18 2020 Mt Hope, Blakeville 17.5kms

A new training hike for us this year up near Trentham area. Really great hike with some good distance, enjoyed the meal afterwards at the pub!

Jan 26 2020 Australia Day! Blairgowrie Sorrento Loop 11.6kms

I walked the Doggo so much down here over summer and got to love the different conditions of the weather on this narrow part of our coast. So much fun watching Millie go crazy at the beach. Just keep clocking up km's into the legs; that's my theory!

Feb 01 2020 Kinglake 14.0 kms

Another pretty walk up at Kinglake, always quite a good pace around this one and the hiking group is starting to get a bit of fitness.
Super muggy sweatfest!!

Feb 08 2020 Sealers Cove, Wilsons Prom 19kms

My favourite hiking location, the stunning Wilsons Promontory. I had not done the Sealers Cove hike and always thought the beach hikes were probably way more beautiful. However, this has got to be one of my favourite hikes in all of the Prom. Not a bad workout either! Hiked with the Mateer family and Deb & Jess, who all did a big day. Must return for overnighters to stay at Sealers & Refuge Coves.

Feb 15 / 16 2020 1000 Steps Kokoda Trail & Silvan Reservoir.

Back to back night hike (8.5kms) and Silvan (15kms). Wet and muggy for the Saturday night followed by the always lovely Silvan hike. Forgot about that 2nd hill...

Grazy Pratt's 80th Birthday Celebrations. What a great weekend with stunning weather. Did a quick trip to the Prom and lucky enough to do my second visit to the prom this summer.
Did a quick fun hike on the Lilly Pilly Circuit and then up to the top of Mt Bishop. What a view!
