This is what we're preparing ourselves for - three peaks, in three days across three states!

We hiked Brooklyn to Cowan on Sunday, which after a few weeks dealing with COVID was a real struggle, but worth it. As a grade 5 walk it was tough from start to finish, and though I had my doubts at times I made it through to the end - with some amazing support from the my Team and our Three Peaks trainer. Preparing ourselves for the challenge ahead is a physical and mental challenge itself - and we're doing it for the kids!!!

Training for the last month has included the Lane Cove loop, walks around Mosman and spin classes - with a forced break due to coming down with a case of RONA.....I'm back on board and ramping up the training efforts - this week, will see me back at the gym with spin classes, weights for core strength and Mosman walks to gear up for the weekend trek from Brooklyn to Cowan.

Two training sessions in and feeling determined to nail these never-ending stairs and steep inclines - we are after all, heading up three mountains. Loving the challenge of hiking through different terrains, and walking along parts of the Sydney coastline I haven't seen for ages. This weekend I'll be training closer to home around Balmoral, while the team takes on Taronga to Manly, I'll make sure I do the Balmoral steps a couple of times, to make it up!!
